CHARACTER NAME: Angela Leigh Weber
AGE (PHYSICAL AND LITERAL): Angela is literally 24 years old, but she has the same problem most girls do at her age, looking a few years younger than she actually is.
SPECIES: Human
PHYSICAL APPEARANCE:
Angela stands at a tall 6’0” and 130 pounds. She is slender; with a light bone structure and fast metabolism that make her look very delicate. Her gentle, light brown eyes work opposite her long, slightly wavy, brunette locks streaked with honey that hang a few inches below her shoulder. Her dark hair only enhances her pale skin that is a result from her growing up in Forks. Her face is very soft and rounded, accented by full lips curving downward. Angela doesn’t apply much makeup, preferring the more natural look to layers of makeup. While contacts are an option, Angela would rather wear cute, trendy glasses. She is somewhat laid back in her clothing style, usually wearing jeans and a cute top, but she also enjoys occasions when she has the chance to dress up.
BASIC PERSONALITY:
Angela fits the general mold of the quiet and shy type of the all-American girl. It would be hard to compete with the vibrant personality of her good friend, Jessica, anyway. Her shyness increases tenfold when she’s around a boy she likes, and it makes it hard for her to talk and flirt, though she has gotten a bit better over the years, thanks to her high school relationship. She is also a very kind older sister and absolutely adores her twin brothers.
Though on the surface she may seem quite, Angela is more outgoing when she’s with her friends, enjoying the occasional gossip, but she isn’t one to share more information than is necessary. Angela is a strong observer. It reflects her hobby of photography from when she was in high school. She watches people from the sidelines; she’s observant. That also reflects in how she is a great listener, a fact that attracted the friendship of Bella Cullen.
More importantly, she is caring and compassionate, an empathizer. She puts herself in other people’s situations, and she’s not one to judge others. She recognizes when people may be uncomfortable, and she tries to understand what others are going through. She’s more tolerant and accepting of the Cullens than most of the people in her school and probably the town. Angela is a people-pleaser. She wants to help others, make them happy, and just be there when they need someone to talk to.
With her compassion matched with her shy nature, Angela can sometimes find herself being a pushover. She’s so sweet that it doesn’t often happen, but she occasionally she gives more than she receives. Oftentimes she is a follower, but when she is confident in something, her excitement comes out and she takes control. This most often occurred in matters related to the high school paper with which she worked.
Physically, her glasses make her look like the bookworm type, and in reality, she is. Angela is an intelligent girl, enjoying her studies, and loving nothing more than curling up in a chair by the fire and reading a book. While she doesn’t mind going to sports games and cheering on her friends, she’d much rather watch than participate.

Character History:
Angela was born on June 14, 1985 to John and Margaret Weber. She was their first child and would be their only daughter. Angela grew up in a very loving household, her father being a Lutheran minister and her mother as an elementary school teacher. Both of them both urged her to learn as much as possible, and her mother especially worked with her to get her ahead of her class. By the time she started Kindergarten, Angela was reading books a couple levels ahead of her age bracket.
Growing up, she was always the thin brunette with glasses and her nose stuck in a book. It was no surprise that Beauty and the Beast was her favorite movie as a child. When Angela was eight years old, her mother gave her not one little brother, but two. Isaac and Joshua Weber lived up were two wild, loud, and rambunctious boys, and didn’t seem to lose any of their energy as they grew, but Angela absolutely adored them. She did everything she could to be a good big sister to them.
Angela also loved nature. Having such a beautiful landscape in her backyard inspired her hobby of photography. She enjoyed taking pictures and forming scrapbooks in her free time. Angela was one of the quieter students in her classes, but she managed to build a number of friendships as the years passed. Jessica Stanley was probably one of her closest friends, though sometimes it was hard to understand since their personalities were on opposite sides of the spectrum.
High school brought Angela out of her shell a bit more. She put her photography and writing skills to use and spent some of her extra time working for the school’s newspaper. When Bella Swan arrived at school junior year, Angela was happy for the girl’s company. Angela was never one to pry into other people’s personal business, and Bella seemed to be of a similar mindset.
Junior year brought on Angela’s first real crush on a boy, Ben Cheney, along with total nerves about what to do about it. At the end of the year, Ben asked Angela to the prom, and from there, she began her first relationship. Ben was a wonderful boyfriend, stopping by her house every morning to take her to school despite the fact that she was within walking distance of the school. Ben was sweet and was able to handle her reserved personality. They ended up having the longest relationship of their group of friends, aside from Bella and Edward.
By the end of senior year, she and Ben both wanted to go to college. They decided on going to the University of Washington together. The school was in Seattle, so it wasn’t too far away from home. In the summer after they graduated high school, Angela attended Bella and Edward’s wedding. Her father, as a minister, performed the ceremony, and she actually ended up catching the bouquet, naturally causing the blood to rush to her cheeks.
Currently, Angela is in her second year of college at the University of Washington and is still dating Ben. She is working on her Bachelor’s Degree in Education, focusing on English, with minors in Education and Photography. Her love of her family and Forks has her desiring to return to the town to teach at the high school once she has finished her degree. She works as a research assistant for one of her English professors and also takes photographs for the university’s school paper on the side. Angela lives in a one bedroom apartment in Seattle with her Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Darcy, named after one of her favorite characters in British literature.
Role Play Example: (400 word minimum.)
It was one of the nicer days Seattle had seen in a while, and it happened to fall on a Saturday, so Angela planned on taking full advantage of it. She had been watching the school’s intramural rugby team earlier as the school paper had requested she take a few pictures for a feature later that week. Since it was such a beautiful day, with only sun and a few clouds in the forecast, Angela brought along her dog, Darcy. That had proven to be quite the task at the rugby game, trying to take pictures while holding on to an eager puppy who only wanted to chase after the ball being thrown around.
Angela’s parents had gotten Darcy for her as a birthday present that June, and he was the center of her life, aside from Ben. He’d had a huge project to finish up that weekend, so he was unable to watch the game with her, though he had mentioned taking a break for lunch or dinner to spend some time with her. At the rate things were going, it looked like dinner would be the meal of choice.
Once the rugby game was over, Angela snapped a few shots of the crowd before grabbing hold of Darcy’s leash and leading him to the HUB lawn. It was covered with lush, green grass that made a soft bed for the university’s students who would try to catch a nap on the lawn. Always the conscious student, Angela took out a towel from the large bag slung over her shoulder and lay it on the ground before collapsing on top and pulling out one of her school books to read. Her class was currently working their way through Chaucer, and she was enjoying every minute.
With a firm hold on Darcy’s leash, she let him walk around her, sniffing at other dogs that would walk closely. He was a curious puppy, which she was thankful for, because he was more apt to sniff a strange dog than bark or growl at them. Eventually, Darcy calmed down and took his place beside Angela on her blanket as they both enjoyed the warmth of the sun’s rays.
“There you go, boy,” Angela cooed to the puppy as she stroked his soft fur. He let out a small yip before closing his eyes and rolling over to receive a belly rub. She giggled as his foot thumped against the blanket when she rubbed a sensitive spot on his belly. “You’re such a good puppy. Ben will be by later and then he’ll roll around with you a bit.”
Time passed quickly, and Angela had just flipped the page to begin The Squire’s Tale when a dark shadow loomed over her book. Instantly Darcy was up on his feet barking away, his tongue lolling out the side of his mouth as his tail wagged back and forth in excitement. The puppy usually only got that excited about one other person beside herself, so a warm smile spread across her lips as she looked up from her book and into the eyes of her boyfriend, Ben.
“Hey you. I didn’t expect to see you for a few more hours,” she grinned as Ben ducked down and kissed her on the cheek before taking a seat beside her, pulling and eager Darcy onto his lap.
